For the changes that his circle observed in his behavior and movements, spoke the long-time stuntman of the famous actor Bruce Willis, who yesterday announced that he was diagnosed with aphasia and for this reason he is leaving acting.
Stuart Wilson, who has been working with the actor for 17 years, noticed that Bruce suddenly started “changing” a few months ago.
In any case, it was not obvious at first that something was wrong, he says.
At the same time, Wilson has commented to the Sun, that indeed “we have seen some changes, but many times with stars of such a range that are really very popular, like Bruce, a million different things can happen”.
“Sometimes when you talked to him, he just seemed lost and we thought it meant nothing,” the stuntman describes, adding that the minds of most people close to the actor imagined anything other than.
Wilson said that just because of the time he always spent with the actor, it became clear to him that what was happening was not just a phase.
“Being with someone so much, yes, you see the changes. Obviously we knew other things were happening at a certain time. “We understood why he was being tested for different things, but we did not know exactly what it was,” he says.
Wilson also told the Sun that he knew an announcement would be made about the actor’s health, sooner or later.
Willis and Wilson last worked together last December, but saw the actor earlier this month as they arranged to go out for dinner.
“He’s a little thinner now, but he never eats a lot. You know, when we go to dinner, he’s the guy who will order a lot of dishes and just snack,” he says.
“Most of his co-workers had the feeling that he would just take a break to do some medical tests,” he said, adding that no one was prepared for what was to come.
Wilson, who has run his own company, Fall Guy Productions since 2013, noted that his life was in many ways directly linked to that of Willis.
An anonymous source said that the reduction of the actor’s cognitive ability was a common secret in Hollywood, as he faced repeated problems in his films.
“Everyone knew, casts and crews,” said the anonymous source, adding that Willis “used headphones, where he heard someone dictating his role and” it was getting harder and harder to play. “
He said the films he starred in really needed to be shot as close to where Willis lived with his family – who, the source said, cared for the actor – to facilitate production.
