Protagonist of “Black Canary”, Kate Beckinsale, 52, decided to file a lawsuit against the film’s producers. According to documents obtained by the American press, the British actress accuses the team to have her undergoing unsafe conditions during filming and wants to use the case as an example for other stars who, out of fear or pressure, hesitate to demand their rights.

The actress, who played a former CIA agent in the feature, claims, in the document obtained by the USA today, was forced to work up to 15 hours a day, without proper structure-such as safety equipment and medical staff. Beckinsale’s complaints also indicate that his concerns were ignored by production.

Among the most serious episodes is a scene where Beckinsale would have been thrown against a wall, which caused him a “significant trauma” in the left knee. She also states that her original stuntman broke her ankle during a sequence of action considered risky, being replaced by someone “inexperienced and unprepared”.

According to Radaronline’s report, sector sources indicate that the case is atypical, as such disputes are often resolved by arbitration, privately, among agents. Despite this, Beckinsale made it clear to people close to them who are willing to face the consequences and warned that he will not be silenced. She is aware that if the allegations are not proven, her image may be impaired in Hollywood.
