A new tattoo by Ana Castela, shown on social networks last Tuesday (5), ended up generating controversy. The 20 -year -old singer is accused of plagiarism by tattoo artist Giovanna Reis, who claims to be the original author of the drawing reproduced on the artist’s arm.

According to the professional, the image used by Ana was copied from her portfolio without any request for authorization or credit.

“This art is my own. I created with great care and affection. When I saw the tattooed reproduction in you, I was surprised, especially because I was not sought for any authorization,” wrote Giovanna, in the comments of the video published by the singer.

The artist also stressed that he understands how authorial images can be shared on the internet without the proper source, but lamented the lack of recognition. “I just want to inform you that it is an authorial work and emphasize the importance of valuing independent artists. A simple story marking my profile would have made a huge difference to me,” he said.

In another stretch, the tattoo artist said the impact would be even greater because it is a public figure. “Knowing that an influential person like you could have done this tattoo directly with me – or even mentioned me – and did not, makes me sincerely upset. The visibility that would bring to my work would be huge, and those who live on art knows how it matters.”

After Giovanna’s comment viralizing, many followers began to speak in support of the professional. “You, as an artist and woman, should have more responsibility when choosing an art to tattoo. Copying an independent artist without credit is disrespectful,” wrote one follower. Another comment highlighted: “It’s easy to be famous and erase the efforts of those who create.”

Until the afternoon of Wednesday (6), Ana Castela did not comment on the case. Sought by F5the singer’s press office also did not answer.
