The season of “Marília Gabriela’s last interview”, on display in Sao Paulo, will have a forced break this week. Diagnosing pneumonia, the 77 -year -old journalist and actress had to cancel Thursday (15), Friday (16) and Saturday (17) performances, following medical advice for rest.
The announcement was made on Thursday (14) in a video published on social networks, in which Marilia appears alongside her son, actor and art director Theodoro Cochrane, with whom she shares the stage. “The cold took us… to me, particularly, with pneumonia. I’m treating myself to go back as soon as possible. I love this piece, I love you. Don’t give up,” said the journalist.
Theodoro stressed that the public may request a reimbursement through the Sympla website, but asked viewers to consider resetting for other season dates, which continues until the end of August. “We make this piece with such affection. Come see us next week, in the other…”, he invited.
Marília Gabriela’s last interview “transforms Marilia into an interviewee of a fictitious program, conducted by her own son. In the plot, the conversation mixes fiction and biographical references to deal with feminism, ethaismo, generational conflicts and the relationship between mother and son before the cameras and outside them.
