Yes, I’m talking about stretching.
It is this pre-workout habit that is not just beneficial but really makes a difference in your workout routine.
This is a series of exercises aimed at joint flexibility and muscle flexibility. Essentially with stretching you prepare and “warm up” your body for training.
Think that athletes, who are able to control their body in every move they make in their training, if they do not do stretching can be injured or even unable to perform 100%.
Pre-workout stretching is therefore very important. They help you prepare for the workout, which in turn will become more effective. When your muscles are tight, they can not expand to their maximum extent, contributing to things like injuries and stress.
Especially for those who exercise regularly, stretching helps to reduce the tension received by the muscle and thus the movement becomes more controlled and clearly better. They also enhance blood circulation and contribute to the discharge of the body after exercise.
The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends stretching 2-3 times a week for 10-30 seconds, with 3-4 sets of each stretch.
