Santorini at the Air Canada Vacations ‘Travelers’ Top picks awards at the top ‘Bucket List Destinations’.

“This recognition is proof of the incredible charm and beauty that Greece offers to travelers from around the world,” the organizers in their announcement.

As they say, “Santorini offers the perfection reminiscent of postcards with whitewashed houses and blue domes hovering over volcanic rocks, as the sun sets the horizon above the turquoise waters,” painting “the sky with bright.

The awards were organized on the occasion of the company’s 50 years of operation, and the participants were able to vote for their favorite international destinations in 10 categories and to share their personal travel experiences, while gaining money prizes and other travel bids. “The awards invite everyone to” illuminate “some of the world’s hidden diamonds and make them accessible and exciting for all Canadians,” said Air Canada Vacations Vice President Nino Montagnese.

The official event took place yesterday Thursday, September 18, 2025 in Toronto and during the North American EOT service, Konstantinos Harokopos, had the opportunity to answer questions from the organizers about the uniqueness of Santorini and in general.

The Greek award was received by Mr. Harokopos, in the presence of the Greek Consul General in Toronto, Ioannis Hatzantonakis.
