The Cultural Organization “Twilight”, The Theater of Charles KounStathis Livathinos with his stable team and Stratis Paschalis dare a subversive proposal on the iconic novel that marked Greek post -war literature, uploading the stage, always timely, “Third Wreath” by Kostas Tachtsis.

A deep Greek work, a hard, moving Greek text. A “dangerous” everyday text, which uses 20th -century Greece as a wrapper to talk about today, according to the press release. The project premieres on October 22.

Two women. Nina and Hecavi. In the vortex of memory and life. An aggressive memory that succumbs, to the senses and in the backs of the years that have passed, recalling faces that marked, stayed, left or lost. And a life that is now, that puts the microscope the everyday and makes people taste every bitterness and smile. Two women who survive in a men’s society, breaking the norms of the time, foreshadowing what is coming.

Nina and Ekavi travel us to Greece of Pavlos Mela, the Balkan Wars, the interwar period and Metaxas as well as the Occupation, the Civil War and the December. A Greece that has changed over the years, but it always remains the same.

The “Third Wreath”, an immortal narrative, reflects a familiar Greece, inviting us to see our reflection on its heroes …
