More than 900 items from some of the world’s biggest music stars, such as Eric Clapton, Elvis Presley, Madonna and Michael Jackson, are on the auction block in New York this week.
The lead track is an acoustic guitar owned by Clapton and played on stage during a 1970 concert in London.
The Martin guitar is expected to cost between $ 300,000 and $ 500,000, said Martin Nolan, executive director of Julien’s Auctions. Offers for guitar and other items will be available Friday and Saturday at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York and online.
Another guitar played by Presley and given to Norman Taurog, who directed many of his films, could fetch up to $ 90,000. The auction also includes a Madonna costume in the movie “Evita” and is worth $ 12,000.
Dresses worn by Amy Winehouse and Katy Perry are also available for sale.
In addition, the sale includes many items from the rock band Nirvana and Kurt Cobain.
“We have a teenage photo of Kurt Cobain, very rarely will you see a photo of Kurt Cobain so young, concert tickets. “Everything that belongs to Kurt Cobain is sought after,” said Nolan.
