Eutychis’ journey, with “Happy Traveler” on SKAI, in Mongolia continues this week with a unique episode on Sunday, October 26 at 4:30 p.m.

Leaving behind the capital Ulaanbaatar, Eutychis heads westward to the country with its vast steppes.

There he visits a family of nomads and learns about their daily lifestyle in a traditional yurt tent or ger as the locals call it. He will try local dairy products such as dried yogurt and kumis, the famous fermented mare’s milk that they drink a lot in Mongolia.

The journey continues to Karakorum (Kharkhorin), the historical capital of the Mongol Empire. Erderne Zhu Monastery, the country’s first Buddhist monastery, founded in 1586, reveals Mongolia’s spiritual and cultural heritage through unique works of art.

While staying in the Karakorum, Eutychis attends and participates in the local Naadam festival of horse racing and wrestling matches, a celebration full of energy and tradition, where young riders skillfully ride their horses.

The trip also includes a visit to the Monument to the Mongol Empire, from where the monumental map of the Mongol Conquest recalls the glory of Genghis Khan and his successors.
