With the Christmas holidays very close, Netflix was quick to release its first similar productions. Elves, a series from Denmark reminiscent of Midsommar, Stranger Things and ET, also belongs to this category.
In Elves, a family embarks on a journey before Christmas
Their destination is a secluded island in the Danish Archipelago. When they get there, they hit something with the car, but they fail to understand what it was. All they see is a blue sticky substance on the car. Later, arriving at their accommodation, they meet the people of the island community. However, one would not say that they are also the example of good hospitality. There is a reason they have decided to live in isolation and break with nature and its creatures.
The first elves of the film do not take long to appear in the film. But their presence is what turns this family vacation into a thriller. Beyond that, the Christmas holidays are not a matter of having a good time, but of surviving.

But if you read old myths and stories, you realize that this did not correspond to the reality at the time. These creatures were anything but friendly and cheerful. According to legend, they usually approached children with the aim of deceiving them and taking them with them to the forests. Judging by the trailer, something similar seems to be happening now in Elves.
The community that already lives in that place, seems to have already understood the danger that lurks. They have even placed a very high fence in the middle of the forest to protect themselves. However, it seems that they can go to extremes to achieve this.
The series is expected to hit Netflix on November 28, just in time for the creepy, Christmas holiday.
