João Augusto, Sofia and Marina, sons of Gugu Liberato (1959-2019), dedicated a post on their social networks this Sunday (10) to remember the birthday of their father, who would have turned 63 today.
“Father friend, companion and above all loving. We lived many adventures together and I’m sure we are still living! This time with him in my heart”, wrote Sofia Liberato in the caption of a video on Instagram.
In the background of a photo exhibition with his father, The Beatles’ “Here Comes The Sun” was playing. “This song in the video whenever I listen to it, it reminds me of it that warms my heart, he was the sun that lit up everyone’s lives wherever he went”, he explains.
Marina posted a TikTok video she made with the whole family. “Congratulations daddy, I love you forever! Shine up there like you shine here on earth,” she wrote. “I miss you huge [sic] of your pranks, laughter, pranks, and scolding. You will always be with me in my moments of achievements and failures.”
Widow Rose Miriam De Matteo also paid tribute in her profile. “May you celebrate your birthday next to Our Lord Jesus Christ. Miss you”, she wrote.
In November of last year, on the day the presenter completed two years of death, the children spoke out about the importance of organ donation. In the campaign they say the singer’s organs saved 50 lives. “That’s why, on this important date, despite the longing we would like to remember the importance of organ donation”, they wrote at the time.
