Camila Queiroz publishes video about gossip and fans speculate: ‘Indirect to Globo’

Actress Camila Queiroz, 28, posted a video on her TikTok this Wednesday (17) that left fans curious, for using a song that talks about knowing about gossip. “No one is ‘on’ gossip,” wrote the artist in the caption.

In the video, she appears alongside her sister, Caroline Queiroz, and the two dub the song in a car. “I have this angel face, but I know from gossip that no one is on,” says an excerpt of the audio that went viral on the social network.

The record was shared shortly before the announcement began to circulate that she is no longer part of the cast of the soap opera “Secret Truths 2”. In the comments, netizens linked the video to the actress’s resignation.

“Indirect to the globe, it tells everything!” wrote one. “I felt a tone of indirection, tell this story right Angel,” said another referencing the artist’s character in the novel. “What an indirect mood,” wrote a third.

The announcement of the artist’s dismissal was made this Wednesday afternoon (17), by email, by Globo’s press office. In the statement, the station speaks of “unacceptable” demands from the protagonist.

“To sign the extension of the contract necessary to record the final scenes of the telenovela, Camila Queiroz wanted to determine the outcome of the character Angel and demanded a formal commitment that she would be part of an eventual third season of the work, in addition to other unacceptable contractual demands”, said an excerpt of the note sent to the press.

The actress was approached for comment, but has not yet responded. Without citing the case, she commented on Twitter an old post of hers in which she questioned: “Today would you choose to be right and fight for her or have mental health and let it go?”. “I tried to be right, but mental health won,” he said.

According to Globo, the production of “Secret Truths 2” was impacted by the strict protocols imposed by the pandemic, and the recording period, scheduled to end on the 10th, had to be extended by seven days. It was during negotiations for this extension of the contract that the parties fell out.

“Globo, then, decided to conclude ‘Secret Truths 2′ without the actress’ participation. The telenovela will continue to be recorded and the scenes will be adapted so that the essence of the plot is maintained,” stated the broadcaster’s statement. The leading role of the soap opera is shared by Angel and Giovanna (Agatha Moreira).

In January, Camila joined the long list of artists who have recently left Globo, exchanging fixed contracts for temporary agreements, according to each work she is invited to participate in. At the time, there were rumors that the actress would have “betrayed” the network, signing with Netflix.

“Since December 2020, TV Globo has been informed of the actress’ decision and she has never provided services to another company, without the company’s knowledge. It is by mutual agreement and legally aligned that we normally follow our work with the channel”, says her statement.
