Journalist Fernando Rocha, 55, told in an interview with Luciana Liviero’s YouTube channel that he felt like a dog after his resignation from TV Globo, in February 2019, where he remained for 30 years.
“When you lose a job in a very abrupt way, you lose your essence. It took me, I confess here, about a year to understand all this. During the pre-pandemic period, I felt like a dog that fell from the moving truck,” he said.
Nowadays, all this baggage and repertoire acquired after the difficult moment of leaving, he takes to other people through lectures. In this way, he says he was able to realize that there is “intelligent life outside of TV”.
“In 2020, in the pandemic, I understood that the whole world was in exactly the same situation, as if I fell out of a big moving truck and needed to reinvent. a way to stand up and tell my own story,'” he said.
After the dismissal, Rocha did not even have the chance to say goodbye to the public. “Life is like that, rush, one hour it heats up, another time it cools down, but what she really asks of us is courage”, said the presenter at the time, who thanked the audience for following his entire journey. “I’m confident with what’s ahead,” he said.
