Crying a lot, Sabrina Sato arrived at Apoteose when it was already dawn at Marquês de Sapucaí. “It was beautiful, it was beautiful”, she repeated at the end of the Unidos de Vila Isabel parade, which ended the off-season Carnival in Rio.
The presenter was the highlight of this Sunday morning (24) when fulfilling a mission that seemed impossible: to be queen of drums at Gaviões da Fiel, in São Paulo, and, three hours later, fulfill the same role in Vila Isabel, in Rio .
Everything worked. Sabrina reached the end of the route very emotional and even surprised when she decided, after the end of the parade, to walk back down the avenue.
Surrounded by security, the presenter was tied up by the public that was still present at the sambadrome. “Powerful”, “warrior” shouted some of them. Upon seeing the uproar and realizing that it was because of Sabrina, a reveler joked referring to the presenter’s physical beauty: “I’m leaving here. It’s a lot of humiliation.”
Many also asked for selfies. Sympathetic, Sabrina stopped to take orders. When she arrived at the box in Cabin N1, which was practically empty, she went in and got a can of beer —Sabrina was a space muse. There, she spoke quickly to the column.
He said he had a blood blister that had burst since the parade in São Paulo. “Now I don’t even know what to call this callus on my foot.”
And talked about the challenge of being queen of drums of two schools in the same night. “When it comes to love, there’s no such thing as crazy. When it comes to love, commitment and responsibility… It was so worth it, I would do it all over again”, she said, being then taken by security and her team to the inner part of the cabin.
