The number of influenza subscription cases per 1,000 visits is at low levels, increasing compared to week 39/2025.

Severe Acute Respiratory Infection – Sari (regardless of pathogenic)

The number of Sari cases per 1,000 visits is low, increasing compared to week 39/2025.

SARS-COV2 virus-COVID-19 infection

The positivity resulting from all Sars-COV-2 diagnostic tests in the territory did not show a significant change compared to the previous week.

In the last week a new intubation and a new death was recorded.

From the end of spring onwards, LP.8.1, NB.1.8 and XFG (Variants Under Monitoring at ECDC and WHO/Euro) has been recorded, with a gradual rise of XFG, which is currently the dominant executive in detections.

At national level, the weighted viral load on urban waste water for the territory is on a moderate level compared to historical data, with stabilization compared to last week. In the majority of controlled areas, the load is low, with fluctuations depending on the city.

Influenza

In the last week no new serious cases of ICU hospitalization were recorded, nor new deaths from laboratory confirmed influenza.

Both the flu and the COVID-19 infection are associated with a significant number of deaths between serious incidents, with the COVID-19 infection superior to influenza, EDY said.

It is recommended that people who qualify for vaccination, especially those who are at a higher risk of serious outcomes (elderly and people with underlying diseases), are vaccinated for both diseases.
