Actress Suzana Faini died this Monday (25), in Rio de Janeiro. She was 89 years old and was hospitalized at Hospital São Lucas. The information was initially released by columnist Ancelmo Gois, from the newspaper O Globo, and confirmed by the Association of Theater Producers. The cause of death, however, was not disclosed.

“Brazil loses one of the greatest actresses in the country. A dancer by training, Suzana dedicated her life to theater and the arts. This great actress and theater worker leaves a consistent, solid and beautiful contribution to national culture,” she said in a statement. , the association, which highlighted the artist’s 70-year career.

Born in São Paulo, Faini began her artistic career as a professional dancer and starred in several successful soap operas, such as “Irmãos Coragem” (Globo, 1970), “Selva de Pedra” (Globo, in the 1972 and 1986 versions) and “Pai Herói” (Globo , 1979).
