BBB 22: PA is in 2nd and DG takes 3rd place in the edition

In an unprecedented final, with only men and members of the Camarote group, Arthur Aguiar won the Big Brother Brasil 22 (Globo) and defeated Paulo André and Douglas Silva, who were in second and third place, respectively. Arthur had 68.96% of the votes, while PA and DG received 29.91% and 1.13% of the votes.

Paulo André Camilo had been the first to win a spot in the final by winning an endurance test that lasted more than 19 hours. A track and field star, he was a semifinalist in the 100 meters at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and won silver at the 2019 Pan American Games.

Born in Santo André (SP), he is the son of former sprinter Carlos Camilo, who represented Brazil in the 1980s and is currently his coach. In September 2020, he became a father with the birth of his first child, who is also named Paulo André.

PA, as he likes to be called, had around 100,000 followers at the start of the reality show, a number that jumped to 7.5 million. On Google Trends, the peak of searches for his name during the reality show points to February 12, the date on which the athlete kissed Jade Picon.

The relationship with the influencer marked her trajectory in the house. The two became close in the first days of the program, but Picon only let the kiss happen almost a month later. The youtuber has already said that she should not continue the romance outside the house, but PA should take from the BBB 22 the friendship with surfer Pedro Scooby, who he approached and has already declared himself best friend.

The first Brazilian to be nominated for an Emmy, in 2005, Douglas became famous with his work in the series Cidade dos Homens (Globo) and in the 2002 film City of God.

As DG, nickname he won at BBB 22, he starred in a twist in reality. He was accused of hiding his game and even received 11 signs with pejorative adjectives from colleagues during a Game of Discord. He almost left the house in the third Paredão, played with Naiara Azevedo and Arthur.

Alerted by Gustavo, who brought information from outside the Casa de Vidro, Douglas then became more strategic and reached the final practically unharmed.

Despite having the support of celebrities such as former BBB Babu and actress Fernanda Paes Leme, DG did not, however, win as many fans as Paulo André and Arthur Aguiar.

In the third year in which celebrities participate as guests of the reality, this was the first final in which there are only men and members of the Camarote. The number of men and women winners of the reality show were also equal.

During the last episode, the house had shows by Paulo Ricardo, Xamã, Matheus and Kauan, Jão and Léo Santana. The former sisters Naiara Azevedo, Linn da Quebrada and Maria also performed.

The night even had a breach of protocol, when presenter Tadeu Schmidt got emotional and ran to hug the finalists on the lawn.
