Elected Miss Brazil in 2020, actress and model Julia Gama, 28, was announced this Tuesday (3) as one of the participants of the Latin version of Big Brother, La Casa de Los Famosos, which debuts on the 10th on the Telemundo network.
“Once again I’m going to represent Brazil with the aim of bringing strength, determination and joy to the world,” she said in a statement, who reached the post of runner-up Miss Universe in 2020.
Like Gama, other Brazilians have appeared in realities abroad in recent years. This is the case, for example, of Bruna Gomes, an influencer who dated for five years with youtuber Felipe Neto. Earlier this year, she participated in Big Brother Famosos, in Portugal, and even started dating during confinement.
Former player Mário Jardel, 48, Grêmio’s idol in the 1990s, also participated in Big Brother Famosos. In the program, he received the news of the death of his mother, Maria de Fátima Almeida Ribeiro, but decided to continue in the reality. He took 5th place and won a prize of €50,000.
In Italy, Brazilian model Dayane Mello was one of the participants of Gran Fratello VIP, one of the versions of Big Brother Italiano. In reality, the Brazilian declared herself bisexual, fell in love with a confinement colleague, and ended up in fourth place in the competition.
A former participant of De Férias com Ex Brasil, João Paulo Andrade, known as JP, participated in The Challenge: War of the Worlds in the United States. In the competition, the participants do agility, strength and endurance tests, and end up lovingly getting involved with their colleagues.
Former BBBs abroad
Some former participants of Big Brother Brasil (Globo) were also present in foreign reality shows. Iris Stefanelli, for example, spent a week at Gran Hermano Argentina, the local version of the BBB. The participation was an “exchange” with Big Brother Brasil 7. The Globo reality was visited by the participant Pablo Esposito.
Gyselle Soares, from BBB 8, participated in L’lle de la temptation, a reality show where couples accept to confine themselves with a group of singles, in order to test the fidelity of their partners.
