A man claiming to be a priest entered Windsor Palace and spent the night eating and drinking in the barracks alongside soldiers whose main job is to protect Queen Elizabeth II. After being recognized as an intruder, he was removed and there was no damage to anything or anyone.
According to information from Page Six, the case took place on April 26, but only now came to light. The man claimed that his name was Father Cruise and that he was a friend of the battalion’s priest, Reverend Matt Coles. That way, no one wanted to be sure of the guy’s identity and he walked in unceremoniously.
According to a source to British TalkTV whose content was reproduced by Page Six, the false priest started talking to the officers and saying that he had already served in Iraq.
However, when he started talking about how he had worked as an ejector seat test pilot and had some organs replaced, men began to distrust him, which led to the discovery.
People magazine reports that an investigation into the security breach is under way and that the Army has a priority issue in this investigation.
Days earlier, Queen Elizabeth II turned 96 with gunfire in London and Windsor, a commemorative photo alongside two white ponies and a Barbie doll launched in her honor. She traveled from Windsor Castle, west of London, to spend the date at her estate in Sandringham, Norfolk, and returned hours after the incident with the false priest.
