Woman sues Travis Scott for miscarriage after tragedy at Astroworld

Rapper Travis Scott, 30, is being sued by a woman who claims she suffered serious injuries that resulted in a miscarriage in the tragedy at an Astroworld concert in Houston, Texas, last November. Ten people died and several were injured.

Shanazia Williamson says she was trampled on during a rush by fans in a music festival riot. He said he suffered injuries to his shoulder, back, chest, leg, stomach and other parts of his body.

In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Williamson says the defendants’ failure to plan, design, manage, operate, equip and supervise the event was a direct and proximate cause of their injuries and the death of their baby.

Shanazia first filed a lawsuit for injuries she suffered at the festival on November 21, which included “difficulty breathing, chest pain, pain in her left leg and injuries to other parts of her body”.

In an amended complaint, filed a month and a half after the tragedy, Shanazia filed a wrongful death claim. Interestingly, Texas law says that a fetus that dies as a result of negligence can be the basis of a wrongful death lawsuit.

After the tragedy at the festival, more than 125 fans, including the family of one of the dead, file lawsuits against the rapper, which exceed US$ 750 million, which is equivalent to R$ 3.8 billion at the current price.
