The “platinum pudding” of Queen Elizabeth – Watch video

by

For the British it is considered their traditional delicacy and of course it could not be absent from the celebrations of the platinum jubilee of Queen Elizabeth.

The “Lemon Swiss Roll & Amaretti” pudding with lemon cream, jelly, rich whipped cream and crushed amaretti cookies by copywriter Jemma Melvin, is the winner of “Platinum Jubilee Pudding”, among 5,000 desserts that served dessert of the palace. The official pudding of the Queen’s platinum jubilee was announced.

Melvin, who hails from Southport in the North West of England, said: “This particular sweet is a tribute to three women: my grandmother, my nanny and the Queen. My grandmother taught me to bake, she taught me everything from the beginning. My nanny’s typical dish has always been a Trifle – we used to call her the “Queen of Trifles”. “And the Queen ate a lemon dessert at her wedding.”

The winner was announced by the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, on a TV show and shortly afterwards the organizers published the recipe on the internet.
