Joelma collects pension from Ximbinha in court; musician denies lack of payment

Singer Joelma, 47, charges alimony from ex-husband Ximbinha, 48. There would be unpaid amounts for the couple’s daughter, Yasmin, now 17 years old. The process runs in court secrecy, but its existence was confirmed by the artist’s advice. The musician denies failure to pay.

Joelma and Ximbinha separated in 2015. The end took place after reports by her of a very abusive relationship, involving possible aggression, betrayal and psychological abuse.

Since then, both have fought some legal battles such as the use of the name Calypso by the singer and now the pension. Sought, Joelma, through her team, said she would not comment.

Ximbinha says that “he has always been and continues to be a father very present in the lives of all his children and that he never failed to provide for the needs of all of them”.

According to a note sent to the F5, the musician “has his children as the most precious asset in his life, so he would never miss anything”. He also claims that his son Yago, who lives with Ximbinha and who does not have a good relationship with Joelma, has all expenses paid by the artist, who plays the roles of his “father and mother”.

In 2021, singer Joelma said in a live that she would rather die than return with the guitarist. “Get back with the ex? I’d rather die. Get back with my band. This project is 100% mine,” she said.
