On social media, everyone has been talking about Melody’s sting on Anitta and the singer’s response about a possible luxury car purchase. On Wednesday night (18), the singer MC Melody turned 15 and received as a gift a pink Lamborghini valued at about R$ 1.3 million.
The next day, Anitta, 29, appears with the same big car, only purple. Subsequently, Melody begins to be tagged in all publications and decides to comment: “Anitta bought it, it can’t be a coincidence. It’s her money, but she copied it, right?”, she said.
With all the repercussions, it was time for Anitta to give her version. Right away, she made a point of saying that she didn’t buy the car, but rented it because it was too “tough bread”.
“My car was being serviced and I needed to go to the gym. I love to drive. I asked for a ride to the [lugar de] car rental. I ordered the first one I had and the only one I had was this one. I’m still tough,” she said with a laugh, adding that she would never spend that amount on a car and stressing that she prefers electric cars.
“It was the first one I had, but he’s very flashy and I’m the one who has to shine. Tomorrow there will be a less flashy one, because where I go people look”, amended the artist.
This is not the first time that both have pending issues to resolve. At the end of last year, Anitta used social media to explain the veto to the version of “Faking Love” released by Melody. The young woman even recorded Stories crying after the song “Fake Amor” was taken off the air.
“When I tell you that this Melody girl is going to be the next ‘kikiki’ in Brazil, you don’t believe me”, began the artist. “But also when I say that she needs to let me take care of her career because her father is not correct, they don’t listen to me either,” she wrote.
Anitta went on to say that she thought Melody’s version was great, but pointed out that “music is not a mess and the Internet is no man’s land when it comes to third-party property”. The singer explained that her label’s algorithm automatically drops any content posted with her voice or image, without prior authorization.
