Ways of transmitting monkey pox include:
a. Close personal contact
b. Exposure to biological fluids
c. Contact with contaminated surfaces or objects (eg bed linen, clothing / apparel)
Monkey pox is not transmitted purely sexually, but can be transmitted through sexual contact during physical contact.
