The emergency committee of World Health Organization for monkey pox will meet next Thursday to determine the measures to be taken against the current outbreak of the disease, the agency announced today.
The commission will decide mainly on the seriousness of the resurgence of monkeypox cases, and on the classification “public health emergency”the organization’s highest alert level.

The number of confirmed cases in the world has increased greatly since then to surpass the limit of 10,000 in more than 60 countrieswith Europe being the most affected region.
THE head of the WHOTedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has repeatedly expressed his concern about the spread of the disease outside the countries where it is endemic and appealed to member countries to take appropriate measures to reduce infections.
