How is your family dealing with politics in WhatsApp groups? Tell the Leaf

by

Politics has long invaded family groups on WhatsApp, reflecting the electoral tensions experienced in social environments.

To avoid arguments and breakups, some families decided to impose rules of coexistence, which even include the temporary banishment of members.

For Pablo Castanho, a professor at Ipusp (Institute of Psychology at the University of São Paulo), WhatsApp groups end up serving as a stage for repeating the same statements with exhaustion and for preaching, and there is no space for reflection. Therefore, they would not be the most favorable environment for discussions about politics.

THE Sheet wants to hear from you, reader, how was the handling of family groups on WhatsApp during the elections. Have specific rules been created? And did it work?

Tell us by filling out this form. Some answers will be published.
