The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 3,225, of which were identified after checks at the country’s gates.

The total number of cases amounts to 1,002,877 (daily change + 0.3%), of which 50.5% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 88 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,730 are related to an already known case.

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 90, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 19,248 deaths have been recorded. 95.3% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 708 (59.9% men). Their median age is 64 years. 79.0% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 570 (80.51%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 138 (19.49%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,613 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 407 (daily change + 15.3%). The average seven-day admission is 400 patients. The median age of cases is 38 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).

Tested samples: From January 1, 2020 until today, in the laboratories that perform tests for the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and that systematically state the total number of samples tested, a total of 7,735,811 clinical samples have been tested while from Health Units and Ladders of EODY that perform Rapid Ag tests have been tested 32,880,990 samples. The seven-day average is 346,670 sample checks.

Self-tests: As of December 11, 2021, 60,763,373 statements of self-diagnostic results have been recorded electronically, while 3,543,338 people came for re-examination.

Bulk Sampling EODY: On December 11, 2021, 44 sampling actions were carried out by the Mobile Health Teams (KOMY) of EODY, in which 8,658 Rapid Ag tests were performed and 241 positive (2.78%) were found.
