by

Brazil recorded, this Friday (11), 46 deaths from Covid and 20,914 cases of the disease. With this, the country reaches 688,705 lives lost and 34,949,418 infected by Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The moving average of deaths is now 46 per day, down 33% from two weeks ago. The moving average of cases is at 8,454 per day – up 63% over the same period.

Acre, EspĂrito Santo, MaranhĂ£o Mato Grosso, ParaĂba, Rio de Janeiro and Sergipe did not register deaths. In AmapĂ¡ and Mato Grosso do Sul, there were no cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. Bahia and PiauĂ did not update information on cases and deaths.

The country’s data, collected until 8 pm, are the result of a collaboration between Folha, UOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo and G1 to gather and disseminate figures related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The information is collected by the consortium of press vehicles daily with the State Health Departments.

In all, 182,218,268 people received at least the first dose of a vaccine against Covid in Brazil.

Adding the single doses of Janssen vaccine, there are 171,721,374 people with both doses or one dose of Janssen vaccine.

Thus, the country already has 84.82% of the population with the 1st dose and 79.93% of Brazilians with two doses or one dose of the Janssen vaccine.

So far, 105,463,287 people have taken the third dose, and 35,351,414 the fourth.

Alagoas, Mato Grosso and Rio de Janeiro did not update their vaccine information.

The initiative of the consortium of press vehicles occurred in response to the attitudes of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government, which threatened to withhold data, delayed newsletters about the disease and took information from the air, with the interruption of the disclosure of the totals of cases and deaths.
