Brazil records 170 deaths from Covid and more than 47,300 cases of the disease

Brazil recorded 170 deaths from Covid and 47,359 cases of the disease this Wednesday (07). With that, the country reaches 690,635 lives lost and 35,529,611 infected since the beginning of the pandemic.

The moving average of deaths is 112 per day, up 53% compared to the data from 14 days ago. The moving average of cases is 32,128 per day, up 63% over the same period.

The data for the country, collected until 8 pm, are the result of a collaboration between SheetUOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo and G1 to gather and disseminate numbers related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The information is collected daily by the consortium of press vehicles with the state Health Secretariats.

In all, 182,297,761 people received at least the first dose of a Covid vaccine in Brazil. Added to the single doses of Janssen’s vaccine, there are 172,238,868 people with both doses or one dose of Janssen’s vaccine.

Thus, the country already has 84.86% of the population with the 1st dose and 80.18% of Brazilians with two doses or one dose of Janssen’s vaccine.

So far, 106,685,191 people have already taken the third dose, and 37,861,024, the fourth.

The initiative by the consortium of press vehicles occurred in response to the actions of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government, which threatened to withhold data, delayed bulletins about the disease and removed information from the air, with the interruption of the disclosure of total cases and deaths.
