Brazil recorded 261 deaths from Covid and 47,230 cases of the disease this Wednesday (14). With that, the country reaches 691,435 lives lost and 35,761,481 infected since the beginning of the pandemic.
The moving average of deaths is 114 per day, up 33% compared to the data from 14 days ago. The moving average of cases is 33,124 per day, up 22% over the same period.
The data for the country, collected until 8 pm, are the result of a collaboration between SheetUOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo and G1 to gather and disseminate numbers related to the coronavirus pandemic.
Acre, AmapĂ¡, Amazonas and EspĂrito Santo registered no deaths. Mato Grosso do Sul, PiauĂ and Roraima did not release a bulletin.
For the third consecutive day, data collection from Rio de Janeiro was not possible due to server problems, according to the press office of the State Health Secretariat.
AmapĂ¡, ParanĂ¡ and Sergipe did not update vaccine data.
The information is collected daily by the consortium of press vehicles with the state Health Secretariats.
In all, 182,366,885 people received at least the first dose of a Covid vaccine in Brazil.
Added to the single doses of Janssen’s vaccine, there are 172,319,328 people with both doses or one dose of Janssen’s vaccine.
Thus, the country already has 84.89% of the population with the 1st dose and 80.21% of Brazilians with two doses or one dose of Janssen’s vaccine.
So far, 106,855,033 people have already taken the third dose, and 38,384,975, the fourth.
The initiative by the consortium of press vehicles occurred in response to the actions of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government, which threatened to withhold data, delayed bulletins about the disease and removed information from the air, with the interruption of the disclosure of total cases and deaths.
