“Nothing is over with the pandemic,” emphasized George Pavlakis, a medical researcher, “sounding” the alarm for governments worldwide to pay attention to new executives – We are all afraid of China but mutations are “harvesting” in America, said the professor

The risk to exist new wave of pandemicthis time from new strains of the coronavirus, emphasized doctor-researcher Giorgos Pavlakis speaking on the show “Today” on SKAI, underlining that what we fear at the present stage does not come from China, but from other countries where mutations are observed.

Mr. Pavlakis explained that we may all be worried about China, as it opened its economy during the winter, without the population having the immunity that other nations have acquired, however this danger still lingers.

“In China, it is estimated that there will be one and a half million infections and one million deaths from coronavirus,” said Mr. Pavlakis, explaining that the Asian country may not be at this stage yet, but preventive measures must be taken globally before it is too late.

Mr. Pavlakis said that governments must show responsibility and impose travel restrictions before the virus spreads, adding that a new strain has already been found in America that is 20% more contagious than the existing ones. “To some extent it overcomes the vaccine but it’s not that much of a concern as people are now immune,” he said, adding that masks should be used everywhere.
