After 11 days off the air, the Ministry of Health reported that the e-SUS Notifica system, which records cases and deaths by Covid-19, returned to work on Tuesday (21). The platform was inactivated after a hacker attack in the early hours of December 10th.
Connect SUS, which gathers information from the clinical history of patients, such as vaccines received, medicines dispensed and exams carried out, remains offline. It is through this channel, accessed through an app or on a government website, that proof of vaccination against Covid is issued.
The SIVEP-Influenza (Influenza Epidemiological Surveillance Information System) and Sisreg (Regulation System) were also reestablished, according to the folder.
The ministry said it is “working to return the Connect SUS, SI-PNI, Localiza SUS and OpenDatasus systems as soon as possible.”
The Ministry of Health website went down after the cyber attack and some systems stopped working, which led to a pause in the release of official data on the pandemic, in addition to access to the vaccination record against Covid.
On the occasion, the Federal Police opened an investigation to investigate the case and assess the extent of the cyber attack perpetrated against different sectors of the government.
The problem comes amid the tightening of border controls after the discovery of the omicron variant of the coronavirus. The federal government published on Monday (20) an ordinance that requires the presentation of proof of vaccination against Covid for travelers to enter the country.
The measure complies with the decision of the STF (Superior Federal Court) that the immunization passport was required for every traveler coming to Brazil from abroad.
According to the ordinance, those arriving in the country by air must present to the airline responsible for the flight, before boarding, a printed or electronic proof of vaccination.
While the system does not return, the ministry made available a website with guidelines for the temporary issuance of proof of vaccination.
