An estimated 180,000 are citizens over the age of 60 who rushed to make a first-date appointment following the government’s announcement of fines if they do not get vaccinated.

This was stated by the Secretary General of Primary Health Care, Marios Themistokleous, during the briefing on the course of the coronary pandemic in Greece, while he added that now in this age group the vaccination coverage exceeds 90%.

The deadline for those over 60 is January 16 and “from then on, the certification of fines begins,” he reminded.

The Secretary General of Primary Health Care, Marios Themistokleous, stressed that we have exceeded 18,100,000 vaccine doses, while 7,150,000 citizens are fully vaccinated, ie 68.1% of the total population and 77.7% of the adult population.

More than 37,000 children have also been vaccinated.

Regarding the booster dose, he said that 3.9 million doses have been given and 68.2% of the beneficiaries have been vaccinated, while 14.2% have scheduled vaccination appointments.

In addition, he summed up that citizens over the age of 18 who have not had a booster dose for the coronary artery and have already had seven months, if they have had a two-dose vaccine or 3 months if they have had a single-dose vaccine, have room to make an appointment by 31 / 1.
