The admission of patients with coronary heart disease to hospitals is increasing day by day.
At the same time the discharges are obviously less as we move to the highest levels of imports since the onset of the pandemic.
More specifically, on 3/1 we had 452 imports, which in just 24 hours, on 4/1, became 641.
A slight decrease was recorded on 5/1 with 593 imports which however amounted to 612 on 6/1.
We had another reduction in hospitalizations with 522 patients on 7/1 with a new increase of this number on 8/1 where they were estimated at 632.
Imports amounted to 536 on 9/1.
Approximately 5,100 patients are currently being treated for coronary artery disease in the country.
It is noted that just a week earlier, the total number of patients was estimated at 4,300.
At the same time, our country is gradually approaching the European average in terms of vaccinations as 7,150,000 citizens have been fully vaccinated.
This percentage is estimated at 68.1% of the general population with the corresponding average in the EU being 69.7%.
Regarding the booster dose, for which 5,800,000 beneficiaries are estimated, 82.5% of the citizens, who can be vaccinated, have been vaccinated or made an appointment to be vaccinated, while at the age of 60 the percentage reaches 92, 3%.
Finally, equally high rates are recorded and in terms of vaccination of children the demand is very high.
So far, 37,000 children aged 5-11 have been vaccinated and another 73,000 appointments have been made.
Additional available appointment dates are going to open in the next few days, especially in Attica where the demand is extremely high.
