The platform for the 4th dose of the vaccine for the immunocompromised opens on Thursday, January 20, said the Secretary General of Primary Health Care, Marios Themistokleous.
Mr. Themistocleous also mentioned that regarding the vaccinations of children, the platform is already open in 26 islands so that they can make appointments. In the coming days, new appointments will be made in Attica.
Regarding the vaccinations of the population, he said that we have exceeded 18.6 million vaccinations with the first dose, which correspond to 72.6% of the general population, while the fully vaccinated are over 7.2 million, ie 69% of the general population.
The percentage of the population that has taken the booster dose is 74.6%, while 9.6% have planned to do so.
All citizens aged 18 and over, must take the booster dose up to 7 months after the second installment or up to 3 months for those who have done the one-dose, for their certificate to be valid.
In total, 65,000 children have been vaccinated, while 57,000 have scheduled appointments.
Those over 60 who have been vaccinated have risen to 90.2%.
