“The message is common. “Let’s proceed with the vaccination so that we are all safe and take care of each other”, said the Deputy Minister of Health, Mina Gaga, in her statements from Larissa during her visit to the Thessaly Regional Hospital where she held a video conference with the mayors of Thessaly.

During the meeting, Ms. Gaga referred to the key role that the local government of the first degree should and can play in the vaccination campaign, due to the sense of trust enjoyed by the representatives of the local authorities.

For his part, the president of PED Thessaly, Thanassis Nasiakopoulos, pledged that the local government will cooperate, as appropriate, with both the Region of Thessaly and the central government to do everything possible in relation to informing residents of Thessaly and their participation in the vaccination program.

The same commitment was undertaken by both the Governor of Thessaly, Costas Agorastos, and the President of KEDE, Dimitris Papastergiou, acknowledging that the campaign to strengthen the vaccination coverage of the region requires cooperation between all local authorities – and joint actions with local characteristics.

The teleconference was attended by the governor of Thessaly Costas Agorastos, the president of KEDE, Dimitris Papastergiou, the governor of the 5th Health District of Thessaly & Central Greece, Fotis Seretis, the members of the Executive Committee of PED Thessaly and Rena Kara of the Board of Directors of PED Thessaly.
