Themistocleous: Commemorative dose with Moderna from November 12-Huge increase in appointments |

The ability to take the third vaccine dose with the Moderna formulation, will have the citizens of on November 12, according to what the general secretary of Primary Health Care, Marios Themistokleous, stated during today’s briefing on the National Vaccination Coverage Plan.

As Mr. Themistocleous explained, the reminder dose will administered with half the normal amount, in accordance with the instructions of the European Medicines Agency.

At the same time, the Secretary General of Primary Health Care, stressed that there was a very significant increase in both the appointments for the first vaccination dose and those concerning the third dose.

Specifically in the last seven days the increase of the appointments that were made for the 1st installment reached the 185% , with 175,000 closing compared to last week’s 60,000.

At the same time, Mr. Themistocleous revealed that 275,000 appointments were made for the third installment, far more than the 94,000 made last week (200% increase)

Finally, only today, Monday 8/11, were closed 30,000 appointments for vaccination with first one dose and 55,000 appointments to download it souvenir dose.

According to the data presented by Mr. Themistocleous, 81% of those over 60 have been vaccinated, 80.5% of those over 50, 78.2% of those over 40, and those over 30 years 76%. At the age of 18 years, 74.3% are vaccinated and at the age of 12 years 71.4%.

Course of vaccinations

The 13,130,000,000 vaccinations were exceeded today. In one dose more than 6,715,000 citizens have been vaccinated, ie 64% of the general population and 73.5% of the adult population. The corresponding average in the EU is 69.2% of the general population and 80.7% of the adult population.

They have completed their vaccination more than 6,430,000 citizens, ie the 61,2% of the general population and 70.2% of the adult population. The corresponding EU average is 65.6% of the general population and 75.5% of the adult population.

Greece ranks 6th in the 7-day moving average, 16th in integrated vaccinations and 17th in single-dose vaccinations.

Regarding the third dose, 460,000 citizens have been vaccinated so far.
