As of today, 324,000 citizens who did not take the booster dose do not have their vaccination certificate in force, said the Secretary General of Primary Health Care of the Ministry of Health, Marios Themistokleous during tonight’s briefing.
As Mr. Themistocleous characteristically said, until today, those who have passed 7 months from their vaccination with a two-dose vaccine and 3 months with the single-dose vaccine should have taken a booster dose. Of the 440,000 who had completed their vaccination, 92.5% were vaccinated with a booster dose.
Mr. Themistocleous said that for all those who have not performed the booster dose, appointments are available and they will be able to carry out the booster dose within the next 2 to 3 days.
He also said that 91% of those over 60 have been vaccinated, while out of the 5,820,000 beneficiaries for the booster dose, 4,960,000 have performed it and 146,000 have already scheduled their vaccination appointment.
Referring to the vaccination program, he said that more than 19.6 million vaccinations have already been given in Greece and that 70.3 of the general population has completed the vaccination in two doses.
