“We are in the process of proceeding with the vaccination for the coronavirus and in pharmacies“, said the Deputy Minister of Health Irini Agapidaki, speaking to SKAI and the Misfits. Mrs. Agapidaki clarified that there are discussions with the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association on how exactly this will be done at the operational level.

“And today it’s easy through gov.gr (…) we want to simplify the process even more, just as one does the flu vaccine at the pharmacy as well as the COVID” explained Mrs. Agapidaki.

“Last time during the holidays we had an increase for COVID in the single beds, we have multiple respiratory infections in the community this season and COVID, and flu, the flu causes much more illness this year and has many more cases,” he noted, clarifying however that in recent days the trend has reversed and hospitalization in single beds has declined.

“We are below 50% compared to last year in intubations and deaths” he emphasized, among other things.
