For the third year in a row, Metropolitan General’s 1st Gynecology Clinic and the ISLE Academy are organizing training for young gynecologists in Robotic Surgery, the most modern technique in the field of gynecology. The “R-SEGA Thessaloniki – Introductory Robotic Surgery Workshop”, is to be held at the premises of the “Agios Loukas” Hospital, October 18-19, 2024, in Thessaloniki.

The Director of the 1st Gynecology Clinic of Metropolitan General and Certified Robotic Surgeon, Mr. Nikolaos Pleuris stated: “Our goal is to popularize robotic surgery in gynecology so that more women can benefit from the undeniable advantages of this technique. Robotics is now accessible in Greece, offering an improvement in patients’ quality of life, enhancing fertility and safe treatment of gynecological cancer”.

The workshop is organized by the 1st Gynecology Clinic of the Metropolitan General Hospital, the Embryoclinic Assisted Reproduction Unit and the ISLE Academy educational center, under the Scientific Direction of Dr. Nikolaos Pleuris and with Dr. Ilias Tsakos, Scientific Manager of EmbryoClinic, as Program Coordinator .

This intensive two-day seminar is aimed at gynecological surgeons who wish to familiarize themselves with the latest developments in robotic surgery. During the workshop, there will be training in robotic surgical systems, 4th generation Da Vinci systems, with monitoring of live surgeries and practice in gynecological surgery simulators. At the same time, sessions will be held by leading experts in Robotic Gynecological Surgery from Greece and abroad.

Through hands-on workshops, lectures and interactive sessions, participants will acquire the skills necessary to improve their surgical performance and patient outcomes.
