by

For health condition of the country spoke o Professor of Pulmonology at the Medical School of the University of Crete, Nikos Tzanakisin the show “Unmatched” on SKAI TV.

Mr. Tzanakis stated that at the moment there is one stabilization in the number of cases in children and added that the children maintained the situation, “brought the virus into the houses” he said characteristically.

Asked how the situation will develop and what this year will be like EasterMr. Tzanakis avoided making predictions saying that “at the moment no one can say for sure” and added that in the next 2-3 weeks the number of cases will not fall.

In fact, he said that by the end of March we will see them reach 25,000 to 27,000, maybe 30,000, while the hard indicators will probably remain stable, except for the unexpected.

“In this situation we will have Easter”, the professor predicted, adding that it will be “approximately free”.

Regarding his control vaccination certificate, said that at the moment its only value is to force people to be vaccinated, so that they have freedom of movement. That in itself does not mean much, someone who had the last vaccination 3-4 months ago is just as likely to become infected as someone who has not been vaccinated.

However, he stressed that he would not get sick with the same seriousness. “Vaccinated people who become infected will transmit the disease. “Most will go through it asymptomatically or with a little sore throat,” he said.

Asked about the possibility of granting fourth dose said it should be considered for cases of people with chronic diseases such as respiratory or heart or kidney failure. Finally he added that maybe it should be considered for people over 75 years.
