Studies also show that about 20% of people will be infected with the groin at some point.

Dr. Choudhury explained that the underwear comes in contact with the spores of fungi on the legs and transported them to the groin.

“So you have to do this to avoid itching (Cavalos infection). Not wearing underwear is not the solution, what you need to do is wear your socks first. It acts as a barrier to limit the infection. ”

He added that those who suffer from persistent itching should “think” of the condition of their feet.

Studies have shown that young men are more likely to suffer such an infection as well as those who work in high temperature environments, those wearing tight clothes or are obese.

According to the doctor, these fungi live naturally on our skin and usually do not cause problems but if we wear sweaty clothes after exercise this can lead to prolonged exposure to humidity, allowing fungi to multiply quickly.

As for what to do to deal with them, Dr. Choudhury advises daily washing of the affected areas of the skin, there is no moisture in these areas as well as regular washing of clothes and bedding.
