On a downward course is the positivity for COVID-19 and Flu in the community. On the week of May 5-11, according to the EDY Epidemiological report on respiratory infections, a new death was recorded by Covid-19 and 47 new hospital admissions.

Fluid Subscription – ILI (regardless of pathogenic)

The number of incidence of influenza subscription per 1,000 visits from week 9/2025 has a downward trend. Last week, it showed a slight increase compared to last week, staying low.

Severe Acute Respiratory Infection – Sari (regardless of pathogen)

The number of Sari outbreaks per 1,000 visits has been downgrade from the beginning of 2025, with small weekly fluctuations.

SARS-COV2 virus-COVID-19 infection

The positivity to all controlled samples remains at low levels. 47 new imports were recorded in the last week. The average weekly number of new imports in the previous four weeks was 54.

No new intubations were recorded in the week 19. The average weekly number of new intubations in the previous four weeks were two. The number of patients with COVID-19 infection who are hospitalized is three.

A new death was recorded in the last week. The average weekly number of deaths in the previous four weeks were two.

Influenza

The plot of influenza in the community (as estimated by the Sentinel PHI surveillance network) has fallen below the threshold that marks the seasonal activity of the influenza.

Only positive samples from the Sentinel PFI network were recorded in the last week.

No new serious cases of hospitalization were recorded in ICU nor new deaths by laboratory confirmed influenza.

Respiratory Syndrome – RSV

The activity of RSV is at low levels, both in the community (Sentinel PFI surveillance network) and in hospitals (Sari Surveillance Network), with only sporadic registration.
