Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis said: “The launch of the National Electronic Health Folder (EFFI) is a historic moment for the digital reform of public health in Greece. It is the crowning of a great project implemented consistently and vision by the Ministry of Health, HIDIKA and the Ministry of Digital Government. EYFY essentially transforms how medical information is transferred and utilized by health professionals, ensuring immediate and safe access to critical data, both regular and emergency. The citizen now has access and control of the care he receives, while the state acquires a clear, functional image of health reality. Our goal is to pass health to Greece in a new digital age, with transparency, accessibility and anthropocentric approach. “
Digital governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou said: “The National Electronic Health Folder is making a major change in the health sector, greatly helping citizens and doctors. Simple and easy, at any time and from anywhere, citizens through the Myhealth app will have access to their entire health information. It is a focal reform that naturally facilitates citizens, but also reduces bureaucracy, as we no longer need to transfer exams with exams. In addition, doctors respectively have full knowledge of their patients’ history. In this way, they can also provide the best possible care. We even use artificial intelligence with digital assistants who provide personalized answers to citizens and doctors. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and through our body IDIKA, we are proceeding with a set of digital projects that upgrade health and make the daily lives of citizens and its officials easier. “
