Another child died from the mysterious acute hepatitis in the US, as revealed by the health officials, raising the national report to six.

According to Daily Mailthe deputy director at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), revealed the death at a news conference on Friday, saying it came a day after the agency announced the number of cases.

Dr. Jay Butler did not disclose the area or age of the child who died of hepatitis.

America has the most deaths of any country to date, with Indonesia reporting five and one in Palestine and Ireland.

A total of 180 cases of hepatitis have been identified in 35 states. They have also become 15 liver transplants.

Worldwide, more than 500 cases have been detected, mainly in United Kingdom and the USA.

Scientists are concerned about the cause behind the multitude of cases, but an adenovirus infection – which can cause the common cold – is the main theory.
