Partnerships are good news for sustainable fashion (Photo: eBay)

When it comes to clothing, Love Island really does have a type.

It’s funded by fast fashion brands like Boohoo, and its biggest stars continue to launch the PrettyLittleThing collection. Or, in the case of Molly-Mae Hague, the boss goes directly to the creative director.

This year the dating program changed its mind and I decided to partner with eBay.

When it comes to the world of sustainable fashion, it has the potential to be the strongest couple ever.

Love Island is more than a reality show, it’s a catwalk.

According to a survey conducted by the affiliate network Awin, online fashion sales increased by more than a tenth, but Love Island passed last summer.

In recent years, the partnership between Love Island and I Saw It First has allowed viewers to create the same outfit from the moment the athlete wears it on screen.

This year too, prospective buyers will be able to keep track of islander-inspired fashion, except this time, they’re showcasing garments similar to those they buy from thrift sellers.

This can affect the sustainable business habits of young people. No market is as ready for a secondary change as Gen Z.

According to an eBay survey, people between the ages of 18 and 34 have the highest average percentage of used clothing in their wardrobe (22%).

And that trend is only growing. A fifth of Britons admit they bought more second-hand clothes than they did two years ago.

However, eBay isn’t the only second-hand site that’s mainstream. Depop, a budget app based in London, has more than 30 million active users, 90% of whom are under 26, but apps like Vinted and Hardly EverWornIt are also booming. For the users

Beyond the “sustainable” collections that have been criticized for planting, the High Street Giants now join the once-loved club.

John Lewis recently announced a baby clothes rental service that allows parents to rent seven new “soft clothes” or “favorite” items for 18 to 18 days a month.

Selfridges luxury department store offers an exclusive second-hand luxury shopping service called Selfridges.

Molly-Mae brand PLTTs are beginning to open up a secondary market away from nonsensical images.

Love Island’s latest connection is evidence of the fact that fashion that was once loved is now enjoying the place in the sun.

And who knows, old branches leaked on eBay may soon appear in some villas in Mallorca.
