How to attend the best music festival of the summer without paying admission

Festival season has arrived. For many of us, this may be the first time we’ve enjoyed it every three years. However, if you don’t have a ticket yet, you’re in trouble.

First, the most popular tickets like Glastonbury this month have sold out. And if tickets are still available elsewhere, they are not really cheap.

You do need to pay a refundable deposit, but this is to ensure that you actually show up to your volunteers. Usually there are also administrative fees or 1010 charitable donations.

Roles provided may vary. You can have a drink at the bar, pick up litter, run a charity drive, or even go camping. It is possible that one of your shifts will be at night, it all depends on the festival.

And many of the sites I checked are registering for one-day events like Rolling Stones (Rolling Stones), Field Day (Chemical Brothers), All Point East (Gorillaz, Nick Cave) in the UK during the summer. Before you rush the application, it’s worth checking to see if you spend your time elsewhere. A good way to do this is to use the ticket price to calculate the equivalent hourly wage for the shift (consider the manager’s fee and remember if you get a free meal).

Obviously all festivals are different, but athletic meets in London actually earn 99 an hour. This is less than the country’s minimum self-sufficiency of £9.50 and much higher at the Rolling Stones’ most expensive concerts at £14.50. But if you don’t have the cash or the ability to earn more money, volunteering is a great way to spruce up your festival.
