If you are one of those who believes that there is more, we have a home for you.
James Kibior, 42, has turned his apartment into the largest shelter of the last decade.
From stuffed tigers and zebras to ornate candle holders, there are plenty of decorations in your home.
An education manager at a French pharmaceutical company has completed a 600-square-foot two-bedroom apartment, but is constantly trying to add parts.
James from Ridgewood, New York, USA said:
I love bold decorating solutions and adding my favorite elements to make the most of my space.
He spared no expense and covered every corner of the margin with colors, patterns and custom-made pottery.
James said: “There is nothing cheap in my apartment. It is very exaggerated and multiple items are ordered.
I am selling 12 Hermes scarves at $2500 each (81850), mounted on a rack and currently hanging on the wall in the hall.
“I have a bag full of boxes that they were in.
I like this pattern, so I have a custom Scalamandre Tiger Velvet French chair for $5,000 (97 4097).
I have a lot of old taxidermy, some of which are over 100 years old.
I restored a stuffed leopard from the 1950s and a matching rug, but the leopard now sits proudly in my cabin.
“We also did other types of taxidermy, like zebras, flamingos, parrots and tropical birds. The price of the flamingos was $2,000 (70 1,470).
“One of my favorite works is the chandelier by Tony Daquette, my favorite designer and king of extremism.
“I’ve been looking for this particular part for years and couldn’t find it in my price range. During my trip last year, I found something I could get for $5,000 (00 3,700). This is amazing… The price of sale is usually $25,000 (£18,500).
I bought a personalized Hermes pillow for $1,500 (£1,105) and a personalized Red Fragmented Beviracqua pillow for $800 (£590).
“Every piece fits together perfectly. When I walk into the apartment every morning, I love it so much I can’t help but laugh.”
His tastes don’t suit everyone, but JamesEclecticHouse has an impressive following on his Instagram @thepretentioushome.
He states, “My house is the exact opposite of how I behave as if I were dressed. I can’t imagine how creative my interior design is.
“I had them come over for a photo shoot and they had one or two unique rooms.
“A lot of people say it’s beautiful, but this is not where they want to live, especially since they have to clean up all the dust.
“Right now the landlord likes what I did and the care of the apartment, but I don’t think he will return the deposit as it will have to be completely renewed after the landlord leaves.
“I have never liked beige and white walls and furniture. I think my apartment is a pure white canvas to express my inner creativity.”
