PARIS (Reuters) – The computer group Atos is in discussions with the Czech businessman Daniel Kretinsky with a view to selling its historic activities housed within Tech Foundations, one of the units resulting from the planned split of the group, reports Le Monde on Wednesday.
“According to our information, (the management of Atos, editor’s note) is discussing in parallel with Daniel Kretinsky (indirect shareholder of Le Monde), attracted for his part by the group’s historical businesses in outsourcing, housed in a company called “Tech Foundations “, writes the daily. “The interest of the Czech businessman for this part of Atos had been known as early as autumn 2022”.
Neither Atos nor Daniel Kretinsky wished to comment on this information.
Atos announced last month that it had entered a new phase of non-exclusive discussions with Airbus with a view to concluding a long-term technology agreement and selling the European aircraft manufacturer a 29.9% minority stake in its future branch of Evidian digital and cybersecurity activities.
