(News Bulletin 247) – STMicroelectronics today announced tool extensions that bring the benefits of Microsoft Visual Studio Code (VS Code) to STM32 microcontrollers.
By providing full STM32 support for VS Code, developers can now design, code, and debug STM32 applications in VS Code.
VS Code is a popular integrated development environment. Access to the STM32 ecosystem, from within VS Code, now makes these features available to even more developers.
“High-level, hobbyist software developers can now choose to bring their ideas to life using STM32 MCUs without leaving their preferred development environment,” said Daniel Colonna, Microcontroller Marketing Director, STMicroelectronics.
“It’s a great solution for developers of existing STM32 embedded systems, while extending the reach of the STM32 platform to the millions of developers who already use Visual Studio Code,” adds Marc Goodner, Principal Product Manager, Microsoft.
